Seven steps, from hide to listing. The photographs are the products themselves — the work, not a set piece.

    Material

    Sheep leather and cowhide are chosen for the piece. Grain and tone vary, which is the hide, not a defect.

  2. 02

    Pattern

    The shape is developed for the style — a cropped jacket, a western fringe coat, a long glove.

  3. 03

    Cutting

    Panels are cut by hand. Fringe, cuffs and belts are cut with the same hide in mind.

  4. 04

    Stitching

    Seams are sewn and checked. A glove’s fingers and a jacket’s belt are different jobs, same bench.

  5. 05

    Finishing

    Edges, hardware and linings — including cashmere where a listing says so — are completed.

  6. 06

    Inspection

    The piece is looked over before it is packed. What you see on Etsy is that finished object.

    Photographs, price and options are published on Etsy. This site reads them back so the story and the shop match.
